Shai’s Picks: My First BeautyMNL Haul

So I’ve been hoarding a lot of good makeup pieces lately especially after my SoFA Basic Makeup workshop and I’m telling you the urge to spend for nude palettes, lip smackers, bronzers and blushers and of course, makeup tools, is quite hard to control. I have to say that at the moment, I am a self-proclaimed beauty junkee-slash-makeup addict and I have no plans of going to rehab any time soon, haha.

Now since schedule is quite hectic for me, I normally resort to buying things online, especially clothes, shoes and yes, makeups. I figured out that some palettes and makeup brands are really hard to find that the only way to purchase them is through online stores. Plus, online buying saves me from the hassle of braving the traffic jam, spotting parking spaces and waiting for long cashier lines.

Recently, I’ve discovered BeautyMNL, an online beauty shopping site where one can buy a wide range of skincare and makeup products from different brands, local and international, at really good prices. The site is mainly Philippine-based with lots of good reviews from women (and men) all around the country.

So what’s my first thought? Haven. 

I can’t describe how happy and ecstatic I was when I first hop in. It’s like, girl, why didn’t I get the memo that this beauty paradise exists?

I love that I can easily navigate through the site. The products are grouped into different categories such as makeup, skin care, hair care etc. plus you also get a glimpse of some of the different brands on the side.

Now here comes the most exciting (and crucial) part – shopping within a budget. I was given 1,000 pesos worth of credits and my goal is to basically make the most out of it. I initially thought it’s easy because there are quite a number of affordable stuff in their selection but no, I.WAS.APPARENTLY.WRONG.

I saw Korean products (which is currently my addiction), lots of organic stuff, interesting scents and of course, loads of makeup and I seriously don’t know how to work things out. Haha!

I tried to make a list of all the things that I don’t have yet and I realised that I have lots of face, eyes and lip stuff that are still untouched. So what I need at the moment is a good brush set that is compact and best for travel and this Suesh brush is just PERFECT.

I love everything about it because aside from the fact that it’s pink, this brush set is also (more or less) complete. I got 15 brushes in 1 pack, all with really soft and nice bristles. The pouch is also beautiful and I love how you can still fit in a few things inside like extra brushes and other tools.

Aside from the brush I also ordered a foldable handheld mirror (Suesh) that is also good for travel. It’s pretty neat and sleek that it’s really best for any makeup drill.

I went beyond the given budget but it’s all okay because I’m totally happy with all my purchases. I got the package the next day after I confirmed the order and mind you, they delivered it on a Sunday!

All in all I must say that I love everything about BeautyMNL. The site is easy to navigate and it’s even mobile friendly. BeautyMNL also offers a variety of payment options plus the delivery is really fast!
