SM EATS: My Best Street Food Experience

If you’re following my blog you should know much I love SM Eats. I’ve never missed any of their events simply because it’s food (basically the topmost reason) and it’s all about Pinoy delicacies which we all love.

After successful servings of SM Hypermarket’s Street Food Festival roadshows held at SM Mall of Asia, SM City Clark, SM Center Muntinlupa, and SM City Fairview, SM Hypermarket saved the best for last in a two day Grand Finale at SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Music Hall on November 2 and 3. The Grand Finale was overflowing with full servings of different cuisines and a buffet of today’s hottest stars that it just couldn’t fit in one day. It is simply the best way to cap SM Hypermarket’s Street Food Festival 2017.

For the nth time, I was lucky enough to be a part of this event. I enjoyed not just the food but also the cooking demos as demonstrated by our Idol sa Kusina Chef Boy Logro and the impressive menu of celebrities adding more spice to the already flavorful series of events. Among the familiar faces were Empoy Marquez, Alessandra De Rossi and Alden Richards.

The street food culture perfectly sums up how much Filipinos love food. Being a foodie myself, I perfectly understand how special the different styles of cooking are especially the sensational mixes of flavors and ingredients, fusing foreign with local techniques which create very Pinoy versions of tempting dishes that are deliciously satisfying but still very practical and affordable. It is one of the reasons why the Philippines is among the top food destination in the world. And what better place to experience this than at SM Hypermarket Street Food Festival Grand Finale; where the best of local street food meet?

So what makes the Grand Finale the biggest one yet? Aside from of course, good food, the event offers great deals on favorite food buys allowing shoppers to recreate the street food experience in their homes. With a barrage of good food, excellent deals, new recipes, and the biggest stars, SM Hypermarket Street Food Festival’s Grand Finale  definitely was the biggest thing that happened to the Philippines’ local food scene.
